A Climber

In 2002 my approach changed… I became a “Climber”…

Rock climbing was no longer  a recreational activity… It became the main focus of my life. This is a decision that remains the only constant in my life up till the current day!

I am creating a life that holds meaning for me. I want to experience everything life has to throw at me and am super motivated to be the best I can be. Hopefully, in the process I can expand other peoples horizons. Inspiring them to step outside of the preconceived norm, and live life to it’s fullest.

I believe that climbing is a sport where men and women can perform at an equal standard, and am working on making this a reality (for me). My vision of a truly great climber is someone who can climb everything well… from indoor sport climbing competitions, to big, multi-day epics.

As my climbing ability progresses my desire to climb grows… Climbing is my outlet, a way of expressing who I am and showing my passion for life! Climbing is a wonderful addiction to life.

To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard of life is to risk nothing. The person risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing. He may avoid suffering or sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, live and love.
