Capturing climbing on film is one of my favorite pass times, aside from climbing.

While watching through my lens I can feel the climbers emotions, and sometimes it almost feels as though I am climbing the route myself! I also love isolating features in nature, and transforming them into art by capturing them on film.

A climber on “The Angel of Pain” 8b+ (32) at Castle Hill, Arthur’s Pass, NZ.I love the angular lines created by the shadows in this shot, and the way it captures the climber pulling on a single finger tip.
